About Me
Melissa Sedmak MBACP, Bedford Bridge Counselling
I grew up in a patriarchal society and have had to break free from the pre-determined expectations around me. I have lived in different cultures and have travelled widely. Furthermore, I have had to discover how to live my own life rather than someone else’s – and I believe that has been the most helpful thing to me as a therapist (particularly as I first qualified as an engineer!).
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Additionally, I work within the BACP ‘Ethical Framework for Counsellors’, and also the BACP Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. Information relating to both of these documents can be found at: www.bacp.co.uk.
